Oak Corner Cabinets Provide for Storage or Display

Many people believe dream homes to be huge houses that sit on large amounts of acreage.  However, like many other things, dreams come in different sizes and big is not always best for everyone.  Many beautiful homes are actually quite small in size and fulfill the dreams of their homeowners most wonderfully.  Sometimes though, smaller homes can create storage issues that require the homeowner to become imaginative and extremely creative in order to live by the old adage of "a place for everything and everything in its place."  One way to do so is to take advantage of unused corners by filling that space with oak corner cabinets.

Making use of oak corner cabinets not only provide for additional storage space, but they also will add to the beauty of any home, be it that mansion on the hill or that quaint, little bungalow in an extremely well-kept neighborhood.  Corner cabinets provide space to store many different items such as collectibles, family heirlooms, or everyday usable items that you would just like to keep close at hand.  No matter your desire, manufacturers will likely produce a corner cabinet that will meet your needs and do so in a way that will also greatly add to the beauty and decor of any style home.

Once you decide to utilize oak corner cabinets, a trip to any fine furniture store will provide you will a large magnitude of choices that will easily fit your needs.  If you desire to display those cherished collectibles that are gathered on family vacations or weekends runs through the garage sells, you may want to consider a shelved cabinet that is open for its entire length so these items can be displayed for all to enjoy.  Or, if you would like to provide better protection for your family heirlooms, corner cabinets are available with attached glass doors that run the entire length of the cabinet or you can choose a model with glass doors on the top and solid doors on the bottom.  This type cabinet would allow you to display items at the top and store less desirable looking items on the bottom.

Of course, if it your intention to acquire a cabinet simply for storage and not for display, oak corner cabinets can be found that have solid doors used to enclose the entire length of the cabinet.  These cabinets can be purchased in many different styles, such as traditional cabinets or contemporary cabinets and are also available in different heights and widths.  You will also discover that you have the choice of purchasing a corner cabinet that can you can set on the floor or a shorter unit that can sit on top of an existing table or other cabinet.  As you can see, oak corner cabinets are available to fit most any need, any budget, as well as, any decor.

What People Are Saying About This Oak Corner Cabinet

Neat little cabinet
This is the second of these corner cabinets that we have purchased. We also have the solid oak 7 drawer chest and these small corner chests compliment the large one nicely. (If you want good quality - go for the solid mission oak things). The small cabinets are clearly not great quality, but they do look nice and for the price, are good for limited storage. The first one took a little time to put together and we did do a couple of things backwards and had to fix that, but the second one went together quickly and easily. As with most instructions that come with things made in China, it's a bit of a challenge. Guess we did learn from the first. They are a little smaller than anticipated, but they are true to the photo.

Great Storage Cabinet
We bought this cabinet to use in the kitchen to hold food products that don't fit in our cupboards since we don't have a pantry The cabinet was simple to install, but it did take some time. The magnetic lock on the fold down drawer does not latch very well. The cabinet works great for what we wanted it for, but we were hoping it was going to be a little bit bigger. The cabinet stain color is great, but it is very strong smelling and is taking awhile to off-gas. The wood seems to be of good quality. Overall, we are satisfied with our purchase especially for the price we paid. You will not find this cabinet cheaper anywhere else.

This piece looks and works just as I expected it to - it truly is perfect. It came without some of the parts and I called right away. They were very helpful and sent the parts out express mail so I was able to have the piece in place for the holiday. So in the end both the product and service was great.

Although my son had some problem putting it together he contacted the company and the problem was resolved. People were most helpful in helping us. I really like the quality of this piece and look forward to being able to add more pieces in the future.

Great directions for assembly and exactly as advertised. Material is substantial and attractive. We are delighted with this cabinet it was exactly what we were looking for.

The picture is exactly what my cabinet looks like, the quality is good and considering the price, it was a deal. I read some of the other reviews and would love to meet the guy who assembled it in30 minutes. That's 13 seconds a piece considering there are a total of 136 pieces in the box, 123 of which are screws, bolts and assorted items of attaching wooden pieces together. My time was a bit over 2 hours including a few short breaks. That said, it was easy to assemble if you simply followed the directions and were careful to keep the parts in the marked bags so as not to start guessing what Screw "M" is. They even have some humor in there, for instance, the tube of glue has a warning, "Glue, not eatable." And a word of caution, on the last two side panels, there is a label with an arrow pointing up and the label is on the bottom of the panel. contrary to my logic, the arrow is actually at the top where it is then pointing down. The obvious indication that you are assembling the panels correctly is to make sure the holed match the mating wood you are screwing into. And as has been mentioned by others, if you are using this as a table to put an old fashioned CRT TV (who has those anymore?) and the cabinet is on carpet, it is a bit unstable. I'm happy with the purchase.

This little corner cabinet was just the ticket for what I ordered it for. I have a RV travel trailer that I had installed a TV, with a wall mount ,in the corner of the entrance of the trailer. I had the cable vision modem and the internet wireless router which was just below the TV , just sitting on the floor. After installing this cabinet, they fit perfectly on top and I have lots of storage for DVDs and video media in this cabinet. The trailer has light oak cabinets and furniture and I would have liked this cabinet to have been light oak, however it is more of a red oak in color. It still looks fine though and as if it we from the manufacturer. I assembled the cabinet in about 30 minutes. Looks great!!!!

Once completely assembled, this product looks good. It looks exactly like the picture. The space inside the cabinet is a bit smaller than I expected because it is not as deep as it appears from the picture but it fits my corner space perfectly. There were lots of pieces to assemble but the parts bags and pieces were very well marked and the directions were very easy to follow. I am very happy with this product.

The corner cabinet looks great in the photo and when it is initially put together. However, it is thinly veneered pressed paper -- yes -- paper! We bought this for a half bath to use as a cabinet for a vessel sink. We really didn't expect the cabinet to be solid oak for the price; however, we did expect more than pressed paper. When we drilled for the sink and faucet holes, that is what we found, which put a whole new perspective on the 'reasonable' price! On a good note, the instructions are clear and the piece is easy to put together.

Nice sturdy product with appearance as depicted in the Overstock pictures. Color is dark oak, Lots of veneer pieces but doors appear to be solid. Fits very well in a corner and has compact space for storage of miscellaneous items.Takes about two hours to assemble the 13 pieces. You need some mechanical expertise. Philips and flat blade screwdrivers needed and a power screwdriver really helps. (use lowest torque) The dowels were loose in the holes but the glue seemed to act as a filler. You need to wipe off excess glue with a damp paper towel. Its best to lay out all the numbered pieces in sequence and assemble on a utility table. Handles need to be orientated correctly. (Magnetic latches at top, Handles fall down over plates) At step 5, the unit will topple backwards, so you balance it against a wall. The upper magnetic catch is too strong but the magnetic reluctance can be increased by placing a piece of electrical tape over the magnet.
